2. Influence ITOs, tertiary Organisations to conduct training around recreation and sport for disabled people

ITOs:

  • Identify appropriate ITOs and qualification design/review process
  • Prepare proposals that emphasise the importance of recreation and sport for disabled people and the processes of making recreation provision inclusive
  • Nominate disabled people as contributors to the qualification design/review process Training Providers
  • Prepare case for providers of recreation and sport education to include courses in inclusive recreation
  • Prepare case for providers of community care and mental health support work to include courses on recreation and sport as contributors to quality of life and health

3. Promote Human Rights Commission anti­discrimination training for recreation and sport delivery organisations based on principles of human rights and the implications of and for legislation

  • Undertake a market analysis of the number and types of organisations providing recreation and sport that are likely to benefit from training
  • Establish demand for training with the Human Rights Commission
  • Provide access to contacts within the recreation and sport sector
