SPARC Seminar Programme

The SPARC Seminar Programme is provided free to the sport and recreation sector to promote the sharing of good practice.

A review of the Programme, which included a sector consultation process, is now complete. SPARC is undertaking a number of changes identified by the review with the aim of improving programme content and delivery.

It will take some time to complete these changes. Therefore SPARC will run Intake 1 (March - June 2010) as an interim programme.  Intake 1 will consist of some of our popular seminars from 2009.

Background

The Seminar Programme is offered by SPARC as part of our strategy to support the development of people and organisations in the sport and recreation sector. We have partnered with leading experts to deliver the seminars and provide participants with sector-relevant knowledge and skills. In addition, participants enjoy the opportunity to network with colleagues from other organisations in the sector while attending the seminars.

Programme places are available to national sport and recreation organisations as well as regional sports trusts. Programme places continue to be fully subsidised by SPARC (late cancellation fees apply). Seminars are designed for chief executives, senior and specialist staff, and board members. For specific details on each seminar, please refer to the relevant seminar listing.
