Research Strategy

The Research Strategy for Sport, Recreation and Physical Activity in New Zealand 2006-2012 is a national cross-sector strategy that aims to facilitate a more coordinated approach to research, in terms of both priorities and investment.

The end goal is to deliver research that meets the needs of the sector and - most importantly - research that is used.

Purpose, Principles, Vision and Objectives
A Programme of Action

Phase 2 is a Programme of Action. It will identify targets, key actions and performance indicators for achieving the strategy's vision. Contributions will be sought from the range of organisations that provided input into the Phase 1 document.

Implementation of the Programme of Action is expected to begin in 2007. A collaborative approach will be adopted.

For more information about the strategy contact Grant McLean: email grant.mclean@sparc.org.nz or phone 04 498 2951.
