Funding and recognition

SPARC invests funding and support services in organisations that:

  • have the capability to increase the participation of New Zealanders
  • achieve consistent success
  • have effective business systems, to assure outcomes.

Higher levels of SPARC support are available for organisations classified as Development, Participation and Performance Sport organisations.

The funding process

Before national sports organisations can take advantage of the business services and financial support offered by SPARC, they must be 'recognised'.

To apply for recognition:

  1. Fill in the Organisation profile form (you can complete this online).
  2. Supply us with:
    • your constitution
    • your anti-doping policy
    • your most recent audited accounts.
