Recognition of National Sport and Recreation Organisations
Overview
SPARC may recognise and work with effective physical recreation and sport organisations and programmes so that more New Zealanders will be physically active in sport and recreation, more New Zealanders will participate in supporting and delivering sport and recreation, and more New Zealanders will win on the world stage.
To help SPARC achieve these aims we have established a register of recognised organisations that satisfy our criteria. These criteria have been developed to ensure that prospective partners have the potential to make a significant impact on our mission, are fit for purpose as nationally representative and leading organisations, and mandated to lead their physical recreation and/or sport activity.
Developing alignment and leadership within the sector is a key principle of SPARC recognition.
