PEGs

Performance Enhancement Grants (PEGs) provide financial support for elite athletes so they can dedicate their time to training and competing. This helps ensure they can achieve their maximum sporting potential.

Providing financial support to high performance athletes enables them to focus more on their sport and less on their bank balance - and the costs associated with training, equipment and day-to-day living.

Full details can be found in the PEGs Guidelines (2007) (Word, 231 KB).

The PEG application process

You need to apply for a PEG through your national sport organisation. They'll nominate you to SPARC using the PEGs Nomination Sheet. Please submit your completed PEGs Nomination Sheets to jo.holmes@sparc.org.nz prior to the appropriate close-off date.
