Show off your awesome musical skills with ti rakau.

Find yourself:

Two rakau per player. You can make your own by taping up rolled magazines.

To play:

Kneel down and face your partner. Try the basic moves below or make up your own. (You can go faster, or have more people to make it harder.) Then create a routine with some music and impress your family!

1. Bang the ends of the rakau straight down on the ground, and then together.

2. Tap the ends on the ground, then toss them so they turn a full circle before you and catch them again.

3. Tap them together, then throw them to your partner and catch their’s to swap.
