Action Packs for Kids
Four Square
This is a great way to Push Play if you've got a bunch of mates around - and best of all, you don't need much!
What you’ll need:
- A bouncy ball
- Four mates or more
- Chalk
- A big piece of concrete
How to make it:

- Draw this diagram large.
- You all have a square that has a ranking. The best square is number 1 - it’s called 'King'; the second-highest square is number 2 and so on.
- To start, the 'King' stands outside their square, bounces the ball into their square then hits the ball into someone else's.
Then they hit the ball into another square. You keep going till someone gets out.
- You're out when:
- the ball bounces twice before you hit it - your shot goes out of bounds - you get hit by the ball on the full - you hit the ball on the full
- If the ball bounces on the line - it's a REPLAY!
- Once you're 'out', you move back to the fourth square (stink!) and everyone else moves up.
When playing on the driveway or street, get an adult to check that it's safe first.
