Coach Performance Enhancement Grants

The purpose of Coach Performance Enhancement Grants (CPEGs) is to assist carded coaches (and their athletes) become more successful by improving the quantity and quality of time available to coach.

CPEGs Award

The value of CPEGs is determined in consultation between the coach, National Sport Organisation (NSO) and New Zealand Academy of Sport Coach Services Advisor.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Any coach carded by SPARC and the New Zealand Academy of Sport.

How Can Funding Be Used?

Funds could relate to the following.

  1. Reducing hours of work on a weekly basis.
  2. Reimbursing an extended block of leave without pay with the employer.
  3. Topping up a coach’s salary if not in full-time employment.
  4. Reimbursing the coach where leave is not granted by the employer, and employment is terminated.
