SportsMark

Sportfit SportsMark is a self review tool to help secondary schools deliver quality sports services.

By meeting the criteria of Sportfit SportsMark, your school is showing its commitment to:

  • providing opportunities for all students to participate and enjoy their involvement in sport and physical activity
  • putting young people's needs first
  • providing competent leaders for young people involved in sport and physical activity
  • providing encouragement for coaches and officials to improve their qualifications and competence
  • acknowledging the contribution of volunteers who provide opportunities for our students to participate in sport and physical activity
  • implementing a sport policy that emphasises providing a 'quality' junior sport experience
  • promoting FairPlay and good sporting values and attitudes
  • providing a safe sporting environment for students.

The criteria for SportsMark is provided in Section 2 - Whole School Community Approach to Sport and Recreation of the Sport and Recreation Coordinators manual.

SportsMark allows your school to work towards achieving a recognised 'quality' sport and recreation programme - one that caters for your students' needs and heads them towards a healthy, active lifestyle.

For more information, contact your local regional sports director.
