Fundraising

Fundraising is an important source of revenue for many not-for-profit organisations – including sports, cultural and social clubs, and schools and early childhood education (ECE) services.  As well as the financial benefits, fundraising can be a great way of building networks and creating a sense of shared ownership within local communities.

However communities are increasingly aware of the need for fundraising activity which is consistent with promoting healthier lifestyles. Many fundraising methods involving food do not support healthy eating or promote health.

The following resource does some of the hard work for you – it provides ideas for healthy alternatives to traditional food fundraisers to support organisations who want to promote community health in a consistent way. This resource is part of the Mission-On toolkit – Food and Nutrition for Healthy Confident Kids

Please note that these suggestions are a guide only. Where specific companies or products are mentioned as examples, this does not imply endorsement by Mission-On.
