The Active Movement in Water for Early Childhood programme aims to provide opportunities for under-fives to develop fundamental movement skills and foundation aquatic skills.

- develops fundamental movement skills
- develops readiness for learning to swim.

Making Bath-time a Fun-time 'Making Bath-time a Fun-time' is a 20-page, waterproof booklet for parents that encourages fun, safe activities at bath time.
The back eight pages are tear-out activity cards that can be used in the bath then re-inserted into a folder in the back of the booklet.
This booklet costs $10.

Active Movement in Water: An Introduction for Parents and Caregivers
Children learn best when their parents or caregivers are active participants in their learning.
By doing and describing activities with your child in the water, you're developing their:
- language and understanding
- coordination and memory
- hand and finger control and awareness
- imagination
- balance and stability
- upper body strength
- self-esteem and sense of belonging.
'Active Movement in Water: An Introduction for Parents and Caregivers' is a booklet that tells you more about why active movement in water is important and gives you ideas for how you can help your child get active in the water.

A young child can not be made 'drown proof' or 'water safe'. There is no alternative to constant adult supervision of young children in and around water.
